AKINDELE TAWOJU

Akindele (Akin) Tawoju's areas of practice include civil and criminal litigation, immigration, family law, child welfare, personal injury claims and real estate disputes.
Having graduated with Distinction in his Diploma in Law programme, Akin graduated top of his class with First Class Honours during his Bachelor of Laws programme at the Osun State University, Nigeria and was awarded overall best graduating student of his law class. Akin graduated with another First Class from the Nigerian Law School where he served as group leader to Nigerian and Internationally trained bar aspirants and was awarded the Director-General’s Prize for First Class students.
Akin obtained his Master of Laws degree (with specializations in Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law) from the University of Calgary where he assisted professors and served in different capacities.
Before joining Peace Legal, Akin worked as an associate in a top-tier law firm in Nigeria. He joined Peace Legal as a legal assistant a few years ago and later articled in the legal and regulatory department of an independent electric system operator and had his articling secondment in an internationally recognised law firm in Calgary.
Akin reasons critically on legal issues and his diligence, hard work and consistency stand him out.
